Introduction to Phase II

As should now be apparent, the first phase of the Orn campaign contains adventures of various types.  These include a pair of escort quests, a steampunk adventure, several very different underground explorations, a mystery to unravel, wilderness travel, and a classic highly-dangerous dungeon crawl.  The player characters are introduced to several groups of NPCs, and hopefully begin to adjust to the strangeness of Orn.  If a group of characters have played through all or most of the first phase, they should ideally have reached somewhere between levels 4 and 7.

The next phase represents a shift from this approach, with the adventures together telling the overarching story of The Great Race.  This was already mentioned in some of the earlier adventures, as a major event in the life of the elven village Bar-Alda.  As part of this phase, some of the true oddity of Orn becomes clearer, as the mists literally and metaphorically lift.
